The Sunday Session

Jim Coulson catches up with musicians for a chat and a couple of live tracks on the 'Sunday Session'.

The Sunday Session is a space for West Yorkshire bands or those passing through our area to play a couple of songs and have a chat about what they're up to.

Declan Vink

Declan Vink came in with his sister Siobhan to perform a couple of tracks. They are from Riddlesden near Keighley and perform across West Yorkshire and beyond. Jim first heard Declan busking on the streets of Ilkley, bought his EP and invited him on the show! They chatted about why Siobhan doesn't get a namecheck, sibling harmony (or otherwise) and which place in West Yorkshire is the most generous to buskers. They also performed IYNM, their latest single, and You:

Skinny Living

Wakefield's Skinny Living were our first Sunday Session guests. They chatted about playing at Elland Road with the Kaiser Chiefs, going from an audience of two in Wakefield one night to thousands at Leeds Arena the next, and wearing sequins! They also played their ace single No Messiah and the brilliant My Blood.
